We created this 55 foot long tile seat wall mosaic for the entryway of Hilltop Park in the Bayview, Hunters Point neighborhood. Rachel worked with the community through the design process to ensure the project reflected the park and neighborhood effectively. Hilltop Park, also know as Sundial Park, is home to the city's first skatepark and an enormous sundial that can be seen from miles around.
Designed by Rachel Rodi and Guy Fuerte
Commissioned by The Trust for Public Land
2016
San Francisco, CA
Local flora and fauna depicted in the mosaic: California Roses, Nuttall's Crowned Sparrow, Western Tiger Swallowtail, Acmon Blue Butterfly, Gulf Fritillary Butterfly and the landscape of Bayview.
